Mayor Heather Jackson
Mayor Heather Jackson has lived in Eagle Mountain for 11 years, almost its entire history. She has always been active in the community and was thrilled to be elected mayor in November of 2007. Mayor Jackson previously served as a city council member from 2006-2008.
Mayor Jackson grew up in Columbia, Maryland – the very first master planned community. She is the oldest of three children and also has a step-brother and step-sister. Her family has served in several branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and Merchant Marines.
Married to Allen Jackson (not the country singer, although they did meet while country dancing) for 14 years, they have four sons. Mr. Jackson is on active duty for the Utah Army National Guard.
Prior to her marriage, Mayor Jackson studied Business Management and Horsemanship at Virginia Intermont College. Upon moving to Utah, she studied History at Brigham Young University. Before being elected mayor, she worked as an escrow officer at Utah First Title.
In her free time, Mayor Jackson enjoys spending time with family, reading, listening to audio books, watching movies, stitching, attending her children’s sporting events and other local activities.
With a love for the people and community spirit of Eagle Mountain, Mayor Jackson feels she has the strengths needed to do a great job as mayor.
